Hi again! Iām Ally, a Product Designer from Maryland.
I am currently improving the developer experience at Capital One by designing Testing solutions at scale for 12,000 engineers across the enterprise. Some of my recent work involved the redesign of a test data platform, Test Data Management, and the delivery of a testing insights platform. These efforts have taught me how to balance business goals with user needs and ship high-quality, intuitive, and beautiful experiences while managing partner and stakeholder relationships. I have gotten the opportunity to flex and grow my skills in a variety of design disciplines like research, UX/UI, visual, strategy, service, and more.
I graduated from Cornell University with a BS and MPS in Information Science. My focus was in UX Design and Interactive Technologies, along with a minor in Game Design. My academic and work experience have equipped me with not only design competencies, but also an understanding of technical systems, processes, and workflows.
Growing up in suburban Maryland, I was exposed to many different backgrounds and cultures. This exposure enabled me to embrace diverse human experiences. This translates into my design practice as I apply an empathetic and user-centric approach to dialogues and missions that I care about. I have always been a creator, ever since I was six years old sitting in Saturday school art lessons. Over time, I have explored numerous creative mediums across digital and physical realms such as illustration, crafting miniatures, crochet, and more.
In my free time, you can find me eating, thrifting, solving crosswords, and petting nearby dogs.
